Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 12, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 4,073 (377 children out of this number, 37 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 26,589,094 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,131,445 people have been vaccinated. On December 12, 2021, 53,291 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 16,323 – CoronaVac vaccine, 27,315 – Comirnaty vaccine, 5,870 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 3,783.

Vaccination was carried out by 392 mobile immunization teams, 2,819 vaccination points and 482 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,456 persons, 188 patients died, 9,966 persons recovered. There have been conducted 29,677 testings (11,639 using the PCR method, 2,882 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 15,156).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,563,165 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,205,879 people recovered;
  • 91,215 people died;
  • 16,306,176 testings have been conducted.
