  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 3, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 827 (68 children out of this number, 26 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection).

    The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 5,757,944 vaccines have been made.

    On August 2, 2021, 125,161 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 27,844 - CoronaVac vaccine, 49,155 – Comirnaty vaccine, 7,511 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 40,651.

    Vaccination was carried out by 751 mobile immunization teams, 2,174 vaccination points and 251 vaccination centers.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 334 persons, 26 patients died, 533 persons recovered. There have been conducted 39,622 testings (19,946 using the PCR method, 8,229 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 11,447).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 2,254,361 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 2,187,703 people recovered;
    • 52,981 people died;
    • 11,424,130 testings have been conducted.
