  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of May 28, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 3,306 (169 children out of this number, 77 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 205, 305.

    The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 1,116,006  people have been vaccinated.

    On May 25, 2021, 16,293 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 740 people got CoviShield vaccine, 10,092 – CoronaVac vaccine, 3,150 – Comirnaty vaccine, 2311 – AstraZeneka, Janssen - 0.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,402 persons, 156 patients died, 13,298 persons recovered. There have been conducted 60,563 testings (25,454 using the PCR method, 11,758 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 23,351).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 2,196,673 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 2,020,216 people recovered;
    • 50,232 people died;
    • 10,131,355 testings have been conducted.
