During an extraordinary meeting on May 28, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a protocol decision to ban the use of Ukrainian airspace by aircraft registered in the Republic of Belarus.

In connection with the situation that arose on May 23, 2021, during Ryanair's flight Athens - Vilnius and to ensure the safety of flights and passengers, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the State Aviation Service together with the state enterprise "UkSATSE", taking into account the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers On May 25, 2021, were commissioned to impose a corresponding ban from 00:00 on May 29, 2021.

Also, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the State Aviation Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in accordance with the norms of international law, must take measures to inform the relevant authorities of the Republic of Belarus about this ban.
