
Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 17, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 34,938 (2,879 children out of this number, 870 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 31,383,042 vaccines have been made.
Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 15649485 people have been vaccinated. On February 17, 2022, 65089 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 10713 – CoronaVac vaccine, 49,082 – Comirnaty vaccine, 756 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 4538.
Vaccination was carried out by 1,007 mobile immunization teams, 3,234 vaccination points and 428 vaccination centers.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3323 persons, 282 patients died, 29254 persons recovered. There have been conducted 116625 testings (52932 using the PCR method, 5424 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 58269).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 4672198 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 3896009 people recovered;
- 104106 people died;
- 19288823 testings have been conducted.

Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of September 22, 2021, № 981 "On Amendments to Certain Acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine" amended the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 9, 2020 № 1236 "On introducing quarantine and restrictive anti-epidemic measures to prevent the spread of the territory of Ukraine of the acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2" (hereinafter - Resolution № 1236), extending the quarantine until December 31, 2021. At the same time, from September 23, 2021, a yellow level of epidemic danger will be established throughout the country.
The Ministry of Health reminds that following three simple rules of anti-epidemic safety - keeping a distance, wearing a mask and using hand sanitizers - saves lives.
