Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 7, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 9,371 (809 children out of this number, 175 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 25,947,664 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 13,905,433 people have been vaccinated. On December 7, 2021, 199,765 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 72,726– CoronaVac vaccine, 95,434 – Comirnaty vaccine, 0 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 31,605.

Vaccination was carried out by 968 mobile immunization teams, 3,309 vaccination points and 466 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,998 persons, 450 patients died, 26,804 persons recovered. There have been conducted 83,852 testings (40,611 using the PCR method, 8,351 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 34,890). 

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 3,519,981 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
• 3,109,423 people recovered;
• 89,436 people died;
• 16,160,332 testings have been conducted.

The number of people with coronavirus disease in regions:

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
