Ministry of Economy has approved a series of decisions to protect the national producer
On December 6, 2021, a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade was held in an updated composition. The participants addressed a number of issues related to the protection of Ukrainian producers in domestic and foreign markets.
In particular, based on the results of the anti-dumping investigation on the import of thermal insulation materials, the Commission found out reasonable grounds for the application of anti-dumping measures for a period of 5 years. The duty rate for OJSC GOMELSTROYMATERIALY and for other producers and exporters from Belarus will make up 35.41%, and for producers and exporters from Russia - 76.38%.
Meanwhile, it was decided to terminate the anti-dumping investigation into imports into Ukraine of aluminum ladders from China, Slovakia, Poland and Belarus without taking measures to withdraw the relevant complaint by the claimant.
The issue of the process of anti-dumping investigation into the import of rolled carbon steel to Ukraine from Ukraine was also considered, and based on the results of the discussion, it was decided to extend it to 15 months. In addition, the Commission decided to initiate an interim review of the anti-dumping measures on imports of extra cooking table salt from Belarus.
During the meeting, the Commission considered the results of investigations into the facts of discriminatory and/or unfriendly actions by the Republic of Belarus against producers of nitrogen fertilizers and waterproofing and roofing materials. In this context, the members of the Commission discussed other issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus, in particular in connection with the application of special duties on imports into Ukraine of certain types of vehicles.
