On December 7, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal chaired a meeting on the implementation of a public-private partnership within the project of construction and exploitation of the highway along the route Krakovets - Brody - Rivne.
There were taking part in the meeting First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov, representatives of the Ministry of Finance and project participants.
"The construction of a concession autobahn is one of the most anticipated projects for the country. The lack of such road infrastructure for 30 years is an "economic crime" against the state of Ukraine. Krakovets-Brody-Rivne is to be the first public-private partnership project in the field of road construction and operation. We must trigger its implementation as soon as possible," the Head of Government stressed.
Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov said that the collection of information on the route of the project had been completed. All materials were analyzed, traffic intensity measurements and technical design were made, in particular, three variants of passage along the route were developed.
During the discussion, the main parameters of the project Krakovets - Brody - Rivne were presented. The autobahn should be about 280 km, and the time of passing the route is projected to decrease from 4 hours 20 minutes to 2.5 hours. The road will be designed for a speed of 130 km/h, and the project is planned to implement in three stages. The first construction activities should commence next year.
