Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of June 2, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,205 (104 children out of this number, 85 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 1,180,402 people have been vaccinated.

On June 1, 2021, 18,884 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 670 people got CoviShield vaccine, 14,272 – CoronaVac vaccine, 3,942 – Comirnaty vaccine, 0 – AstraZeneka, Janssen - 0.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,262 persons, 158 patients died, 9,405 persons recovered. There have been conducted 64,876 testings (27,936 using the PCR method, 11,348 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 25,592).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,206,836 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,062,572 people recovered;
  • 50,857 people died;
  • 10,235,181 testing have been conducted.
