Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 04, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 5,082 (258 children out of this number, 220 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 153,611.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1893 persons, 140 patients died, 9933 persons recovered. There have been conducted 42112 testing (25076 using the PCR method and 17036 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1232246 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 1055406 people recovered;
  • 23229 people died;
  • 6324775 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
