Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 14, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 6,451 (355 children out of this number, 215 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 377,125.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,895 persons, 93 patients died, 5,154 persons recovered. There have been conducted 25,582 testing (20,493 using the PCR method and 5,089 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 900,666 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 506,718 people recovered;
  • 15,247 people died;
  • 5,052,686 testing have been conducted.

The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (605), Odesa region (584), Kyiv region (521), Dnipropetrovsk region (461), Zaporizhia region (440).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
