The Great Construction Program is the priority for the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, says Oleksii Chernychov

On July 13, the President's Office hosted a meeting between the President of Ukraine and the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

During the event, the state of implementation of the Great Construction Program was discussed. The Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksii Chernyshov said that the Ministry is introducing a set of measures to ensure effective implementation of the Great Construction Program, including monitoring of the progress of its implementation, monitoring of the construction financing, coordination and verification of project documentation regarding the constriction objects with the RSA (Regional State Administrations).

"The President's Program "Great Construction" is a priority for the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development. After all, building a country and improving people's lives is the basis for the development of our state, each of its regions, each particular city and community," the Minister stressed.

The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development has set up a special mobile unit - a monitoring team that inspects construction sites across the country. As of today, 64 objects in 9 regions have been inspected. By the end of the third quarter of this year, 100% of schools, kindergartens and sports facilities included in the President's program will be inspected.

Construction has been completed at 32 sites: 11 schools, 14 preschools, 7 sports facilities. It is planned to complete work on more than 70 sites by September 1, 2020.

Under the Great Construction Program, 210 emergency departments of healthcare facilities are planned to be reconstructed or overhauled. "The task of the Ministry is to ensure the repair and reconstruction of 100% of the emergency departments included in the Great Construction Program, prior to the adoption and installation of medical equipment," Oleksii Chernyshov added.

The State Regional Development Fund within the management of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development has allocated UAH 2 billion to the regions.

"Behind the scenes, there is a daily control, inspections, meetings with regions. All these actions of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development are aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of the President's Program. After all, all of us are interested in the success of the "Great Construction", summed up the Minister.
