Oleksiy Chernyshov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine, opened the forum ”Human capital dimension at the URC 2025. Focusing on Return and Recovery", which is taking place on June 17 in Kyiv.

In his address, Oleksiy Chernyshov emphasized that people are the core value and the driver of Ukraine's recovery, and the unity of the Ukrainian people is a key mission of the Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine.

"The issue of returning our citizens is directly related to one of the key challenges for our country - demographic. According to the UN forecast, Ukraine's population will continue to decline. Therefore, the state has a lot of work to do to reverse this trend," said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that together with representatives of the diaspora and emigration flows of previous years, we had a global community of Ukrainians abroad - more than 25 million. This is a great challenge for Ukraine, but also a great opportunity.

"We clearly understand that after achieving sustainable peace, we must focus on economic development, attracting investment, urgent reforms and job creation. Only a prosperous, efficient and successful Ukraine will motivate our people to decide to return home," emphasized Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the Forum was an important part of the preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 and brought together representatives of the government, civil society, international partners, media, experts and opinion leaders.

The Forum "Human capital dimension at the URC 2025. Focusing on Return and Recovery" was organized by the Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine on the platform of the Centre for Economic Recovery with the support of the United Nations Refugee Agency in Ukraine (UNHCR) and Stabilization Support Services.
