Ukraine and Austria ink Memorandum on expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector

Ukraine and Austria signed a Memorandum on expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector. The relevant document was inked by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitalii Koval and Federal Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management Norbert Totschnig during the working visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Vienna.

The document provides for the following:

  • Trade in products, technologies, and other crop and animal breeding products.
  • Support for Ukraine in European integration processes.
  • Exchange of experience in the field of environmentally friendly and sustainable agriculture.
  • Cooperation in science, education, and research institutions.
  • Promoting international student exchange in the agricultural sector.
  • Assistance to Ukraine in the areas of animal breeding and reproduction, plant breeding, etc.

"I believe that the Memorandum is not only about cooperation and economic prospects. It is also about the opportunities for Ukrainian producers to open new markets and create joint ventures with Austrian companies," Vitalii Koval emphasized.
