Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov and President of the State Parliament of Vienna Ernst Waller visited the centre for assistance to temporarily displaced persons from Ukraine.
This facility has become an important space of support for Ukrainian citizens who were forced to go abroad because of the war. There they can get the help they need - from social services to integration and education advice.
Oleksiy Chernyshov thanked the leaders of Vienna, the citizens of Austria and the Train for Hope organisation for their solidarity and support for our compatriots.
During his visit to the assistance centre, the Deputy Prime Minister spoke to Ukrainians. He learnt about their stories, needs and challenges they face while temporarily living abroad.
"It is important for people to know that Ukraine does not forget about them, that they remain part of a single nation wherever they are. That is why such meetings are essential - they help us to better understand how the State can support its citizens," said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
