Oleksandr Kubrakov: We are working with developers to create the best conditions for Ukrainians who lost their homes due to russian military aggression

On the initiative of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, the first meeting was held with developers, builders and representatives of the construction industry to discuss their participation in the second phase of the eVidnovlennia programme – compensation for completely destroyed housing.

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, announced an open Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry and industry representatives. Its main objective is to ensure that developers fulfil their obligations to Ukrainians who choose the primary property market in a fair and timely manner. The Memorandum has been published on the Ministry’s website and is open for signature.

Oleksandr Kubrakov stressed the need to provide housing to those affected by the russian military aggression as soon as possible, as well as to use financial instruments to attract Ukrainians, in particular through promotional offers, discounts, etc.

As of today, almost 5,000 applications have been submitted to local government commissions, most of them from residents of Kharkiv and Kyiv regions. We have issued almost 500 housing certificates. These certificates will be available for use next month.

It is important to note that the compensation programme does not restrict Ukrainians in the use of their certificates. A participant can choose any region of Ukraine and any method of using the certificate – investment in a future property, purchase on the primary or secondary market.
