The National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (NACS) launches a convenient chatbot in the Telegram messenger aimed to help job seekers to find current vacancies on the carrer.gov.ua portal.

The Career bot, available at https://t.me/CareerGovUABot, allows one to search for jobs by job category (A, B, and C), as well as by six-digit job code or keyword. The search results show a link to the carrer.gov.ua website for each of the vacancies that matches the selected search options.

The chatbot simplifies the search for vacancies in the public service and makes the choice more convenient for candidates, says NACS Chairman Olexandr Starodubtsev. “Given the full operation of carrer.gov.ua has been restored, our objective is to improve the search process and to add new tools and functions that will make it easier to find relevant jobs. Creating a Career bot is one of such new tools,” he added.

Head of the department Pavlo Kulyk said that the chatbot is part of the IT support system for candidates to hold posts in civil service. Along with the recently launched HelpDesk service, as well as the development of a technical support service, the chatbot should provide comprehensive support for candidates and maintain a feedback function. “Customer support services are a standard for all leading companies. The civil service is competing for personnel with private sector, so we must provide convenience and high-level service that are in line with best practices,” Pavlo Kulyk emphasized.

It should be noted that NACS has initiated unscheduled evaluation of IT resources and infrastructure, including the portal carrer.gov.ua. The verification will enable to get recommendation on the smooth operation of the Agency's resources. In addition, NACS has begun preparation for an external independent IT audit, including penetration tests with the involvement of a certified provider of such services.

Besides, the Agency launched a knowledge management portal pdp.nacs.gov.ua in test operation mode. After registering on the portal, civil servants can search for training programs by keywords from the title, types and duration of training, the name of the region, the direction of training and advanced training, the date of training. Moreover, it is available to make electronic registration for training in the chosen program.
