The Government by its order approved a plan to prevent the introduction and spread of the new coronavirus from China, and a National plan of anti-epidemic measures to respond to the spread of the virus.

The specially created operational headquarters for coordination of actions headed by Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk was established at the level of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Reinforcement of security and preventive measure is being carried out in accordance with the commission of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"We are establishing high alert regime for all civil defense systems so that all relevant services are promptly mobilized in case of need," said Oleksiy Honcharuk.

The PM also added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Ministry of Health of Ukraine  recommend to temporarily refrain from tourist and business trips to Hubei province and Wuhan city, where exists a high risk to become infected, and to postpone all non-essential trips to other territories of China.

Holidays for Chinese students studying in Ukraine will continue.

"We are currently developing regional plans for concrete regions. Hospitals are instructed to prepare for dealing with a possible case of illness, as well as to determine the need for medication and equipment, and the Ministry of Health will monitor and assist methodologically," the Prime Minister emphasized.

Moreover, the Government is commissioned to hold training in medical institutions on the readiness to receive potential patients.
