In 2019, the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) will open five territorial offices in the regions of Ukraine. The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on January 16.
"We are starting to establish regional units to strengthen the work of the NHSU in the regions, as the transformation of the healthcare system will take place at the following levels: the program Free Diagnosis will start on July 1. The territorial units of the NHSU will work to ensure the effective introduction of changes in the regions", said Oleh Petrenko, head of the NHSU.
Territorial offices will be opened in Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Lviv and Kyiv.
Just to remind, the National Health Service of Ukraine was established in March 2018. According to the results of the first two waves of signing contracts, the partners of the NHSU became 623 medical institutions of primary healthcare. In these institutions, more than 14 million patients have voluntarily chosen their family doctor, therapist or pediatrician.
Over nine months, the NHSU has paid UAH 3.5 billion under medical insurance contracts for services rendered.
On the results of the third wave, about 97% of communal medical institutions have expressed their desire of becoming partners of NHSU. And every fifth application was received by the NHSU from private doctors (doctors who opened a business and obtained a license for medical activities) and private clinics.
