Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman outlined economic development, human capital development, issues of the security and defense sector, energy independence and strengthening the fight against corruption as priorities for the Cabinet of Ministries in 2019. This statement was issued during the annual traditional meeting with heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Ukraine which is held at the invitation of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. This year's event was held in the restored Mariinsky Palace.
"In 2019, we will ensure full funding of the security and defense sector. And this includes payment of increased salaries and modernization of troops. We will invest resources in energy efficiency, social programs, monetization of subsidies, and continue the Available Medicines program. Starting from July medical tests will be free", the Prime Minister stressed. "We will continue a large-scale construction of roads, support of agroindustrial complex - farmers and agricultural machinery, we will continue the introduction of a New Ukrainian School. We have identified priorities - economic development, human capital development, security and defense, energy independence, anti-corruption measures. These are the priorities that will make Ukraine strong."
The Head of Government stressed that many areas are being changed now, and this is a complicated process.
At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasized that all economic achievements will be invested in improving the quality of life for citizens.
