Presently, the regions and communities have enormous opportunities for realization. This is not just about Government support, throughout five years of decentralization reform implementation local budgets have grown to UAH 234 billion.

Deputy Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko stated on the air of a TV channel Espreso.

"If to speak in terms of numbers: the local government's revenues in 2014, before the reform triggered, amounted to about UAH 70 billion, by the end of 2015 - almost UAH 100 billion. And they said this is the ultimate achievement. But by the end of 2016 - UAH 147 billion, 2017 - UAH 193 billion, 2018 - UAH 234 billion, by the end of 2019 we expect UAH 267 billion", told Hennadii Zubko.

According to him, apart from the growth of local budgets and state support for infrastructure, rural medicine and education, communities are financially supported by Europe. In 2018, 70 regional projects were launched with the funding of the European Union within the framework of the Sector Policy Support Program of Ukraine. The total amount of financing is over UAH 600 million. Those are the first 70 regional start-ups that won the competition in 5 directions: innovative economy and investments, rural development, human capital development, tourism development, all-Ukrainian solidarity. This is another direction of powerful state support for the development of communities and the development of their infrastructure.
