On 27 January, Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of culture during a video conversation with the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus, Vasiliki Kassianidou.
The Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine stressed the importance of preserving Ukraine’s cultural heritage in the face of current challenges, as well as combating illicit trafficking in cultural property.
In her turn, Vassiliki Kassianidou underlined the importance of cultural dialogue between the two countries and confirmed Cyprus’ readiness to promote initiatives aimed at protecting, preserving and restoring cultural monuments.
Mykola Tochytskyi expressed his gratitude to his Cypriot counterpart for confirming her participation in the Ukraine Culture Conference “Cooperation for Resilience”, which is designed to promote effective coordination of international efforts to support and strengthen the cultural sector in Ukraine.
