The Government's decentralization reform, which has been introduced in Ukraine over the past 5 years under the comprehensive Government leadership, has provided local authorities with additional financial resources that, among other things, can be directed to programs of additional support for families who for various reasons can not fully pay the cost of utilities. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.

The Head of Government reminded that with the Government's decisions there had been introduced the marginal cost of gas for the population and the mechanism of monetization of subsidies. "And as a result of decentralization, local budgets can also support families and minimize debt burdens. I appeal to the local authorities, to the parliamentarians: I urge you to scrutinize the local problems thoroughly, to find out where we have problems that can be solved locally. We should take care about the people", said the Prime Minister.
