Ministry of Digital Transformation: Korea to provide over USD 4.7 million for Ukrainian Government digitalisation
The Republic of Korea will allocate USD 4.76 million to support the digital transformation of the Ukrainian Government. The agreement was signed on 14 April in Kyiv by representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The funds will support a three-year project running until 2027. Its aim is to make government operations more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly for civil servants. The initiative will be implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, UNDP, and the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
“The goal of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is to simplify interactions with the state for both citizens and those providing services. We are grateful to the Republic of Korea for supporting this important initiative, which will help make the public sector more effective,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development – Minister of Digital Transformation.
The project includes two key components:
- Modernising digital tools for project management in ministries and developing e-services for civil servants.
- Training civil servants in digital skills to effectively use new systems.
One element of the project will be the introduction of a dedicated Diia service for civil servants – Diia.Office – which will streamline administrative processes and improve inter-agency collaboration.
