Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, held a meeting to develop amendments to a number of resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in order to update their provisions.
The resolutions in question are: “On registration of internally displaced persons”, “Some issues of payment of housing allowance to internally displaced persons” and “Some issues of support to internally displaced persons”.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, regional military administrations and NGOs.
Among other things, the participants discussed proposals to change the conditions for granting or renewing payments to IDPs upon their return from abroad. In particular, those who immediately evacuated from dangerous areas to other countries or did not receive a certificate of registration as internally displaced persons.
Participants in the meeting also discussed proposed amendments to resolutions on the registration of IDPs at employment centres and assistance in finding employment.
