Joint efforts are needed to ensure comfortable conditions for children with special status. This was discussed at a regular meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the Protection of Children’s Rights under Martial Law, chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

Participants discussed the living conditions of children from boarding schools displaced from Odesa and Mykolaiv regions to Chernivtsi. Three of them are currently being housed in a non-governmental institution.

Among other things, the participants discussed the monitoring of the children’s living conditions, the general condition of the premises and their safety. Particular attention was paid to nutrition, children’s health, staff performance and issues requiring close cooperation between the authorities and philanthropists.

As a result of the meeting, the National Social Service was instructed to ensure that children with special status are placed in institutions that meet all the necessary requirements.

“The state and private institutions that care for children should develop partnerships. We must build them in a spirit of cooperation, integrity and honesty. We should also not be afraid of problematic issues, but unite to solve them. Indeed, all our children need proper attention from the state,” the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
