Since the beginning of the war, international partners have allocated more than EUR 113 billion to Ukraine. This amount includes military, financial and humanitarian assistance from foreign governments. This is stated in a study of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
According to the Ukraine Support Tracker system, which tracks the scale of international assistance, 40 countries became donors to Ukraine. The European Union has allocated almost EUR 52 billion, assistance from the United States reached EUR 48 billion.
The list of donor countries also includes the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Norway, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and India. They provided another EUR 13 billion of international assistance to Ukraine.
Half of the allocated funds is financial assistance, one third is military aid, and the rest is humanitarian support.
The European Union has become the leader in providing financial assistance. EU member states and European institutions pledged to provide Ukraine with almost EUR 35 billion for budgetary needs.
The United States remains the leader in military support. Military assistance from American partners has already reached EUR 23 billion.
