Today, on July 17, a press-center of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine became the venue for the ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Motion Picture Association.

The memorandum was signed by the Minister of Culture of Ukraine Yevhen Nyshchuk, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Lilia Hrynevych and the Executive Director of the Ukrainian Motion Picture Association Viktoria Yarmoshchuk.

According to the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Lilia Hrynevych, an agreement was reached with the Ministry of Culture to provide the MES with copies of Ukrainian films recommended for use in the educational process to create a media resource – Multimedia library - based on the national educational electronic platform.

"It is very important for us to provide our children with a modern interesting content of education and materials that can encourage them to study. Now in Ukraine there is a great media content developing that has been created in Ukraine and is supported by the state budget", said Lilia Hrynevych. "Using a Ukrainian product, which is really inspiring and high-quality, in the educational process will undoubtedly motivate children, will provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural product in an interesting way and will be useful for their learning. This applies to both feature and documentary films while creating a certain emotional impact."

The Memorandum is aimed to consolidate efforts directed to integrating in the educational process such tools of non-formal education as the demonstration of Ukrainian films, the topics of which are related to educational programs of institutions of general secondary education and which carry out the educational function of upbringing the younger generation teaching love and respect to Ukraine, its history, culture, human values, familiarize with the important historical milestones of the formation of Ukrainian statehood, as well as inform about the achievements modern Ukrainian cinema.

According to the Memorandum, the parties will develop mutually beneficial, equal and long-term cooperation aimed at achieving the goal.
