In order to ensure the unity of Ukrainian society and strengthen its Ukrainian identity, the adoption of the Ukrainian language throughout Ukraine, the Government approved a strategy to promote the Ukrainian language by 2030 titled "A Strong Language - a Successful State." The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on July 17.

The regulatory act was developed by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine in pursuance of paragraph 427 of the Government Priority Action Plan for 2018, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 28, 2018, No. 244-p.

The Strategy of popularizing the state language for the period up to 2030, "A Strong Language - A Successful State", determines the purpose, strategic goals and main tasks on which the implementation of the state language policy is based, and covers practically all spheres of public life. This, in turn, will contribute to the prestige of the official language, the formation of a comfortable and functional Ukrainian-speaking environment throughout Ukraine and for its entire population, as well as create conditions for meeting the linguistic needs of Ukrainians living abroad.
