Today, August 19, at its meeting, the Government has approved a Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which envisages the inclusion of a project to build an airport in Mukachevo in the State Target Program for the Development of Airports for the period up to 2023.
This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii.
“We continue the preparation activities for the construction of a new airport in Mukachevo, which, without exaggeration, is of paramount importance and a much-awaited project for the entire infrastructure of Zakarpattia. With today's decision, the Government supported the inclusion of this project in the State Target Program for Airport Development for the period up to 2023,” the Minister stressed.
According to the updated program, the projected funding for the design of the aerodrome at Mukachevo Airport will amount to about UAH 30 million and will be implemented with funds raised under state guarantees in the framework of the preparation for Euro-2012. Measures to design the airport terminal complex will amount to about UAH 25 million and will be implemented at the expense of an investor.
In addition, under the Government's decision, it is planned to increase funding by UAH 117.51 million to complete the reconstruction of the airport in Odesa. This will allow the construction work to be completed and the renovated facility to be put in exploitation.
