  • Ministry of Economy: Since the beginning of 2023, businesses have received UAH 84 billion worth of affordable loans

    Since the beginning of 2023, banks have issued 23,000 loans to businesses under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9% programme totalling UAH 84 billion. Over the past week, 342 entrepreneurs received UAH 1.8 billion in affordable loans. Since the launch of the programme in February 2020, 75,700 loans worth UAH 249 billion have been disbursed.

    The largest share of loans was for anti-crisis purposes – UAH 60. billion, and for anti-war purposes – UAH 54 billion. UAH 28 billion was disbursed to refinance previously obtained loans, UAH 39.4 billion to replenish working capital, and UAH 20.3 billion for investment purposes. In addition, farmers received UAH 35.5 billion in loans to support their operations, while trading companies borrowed UAH 4.6 billion to replenish working capital.

    The most frequent borrowers under the programme are companies operating in the following sectors:

    • agriculture (50%);
    • wholesale and retail trade (26%);
    • processing industry (15%).

    The top regions in terms of the amount of loan agreements concluded are Lviv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia regions and the city of Kyiv.

    Currently, 45 banks are participating in the programme.
