Matvii Bidnyi: Ukraine should become a country of opportunities for young people
On 26 August, the official opening of the national youth educational and professional course “State Builder: the Way to Restore the State” took place.
The participants were greeted by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, who drew attention to the values of a state builder.
Minister of Youth and Sports Matvii Bidnyi also emphasised the importance of recovery to the Government and the Ministry. In June this year, the youth segment was presented for the first time at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2024. During the conference, Ukraine signed and announced 110 international agreements that young state builders will be able to help implement.
“Ukraine should become a country of opportunities for young people. The Government is currently renewing the civil service, because it is the evidence of determination and responsibility, commitment and efficiency of society, which are important for recovery and prosperity,” the official said.
The discussion also focused on internship opportunities for young people in the civil service and local government. Matvii Bidnyi also emphasised the Ministry’s tradition of hiring graduates of the State Builder programme. “I invite you to join the team of the Ministry, our state institutions or to propose your candidacy for the Youth Council,” he said.
As a reminder, the goal of the national programme ‘‘State Builder’’ is to create a system of personal and professional development of young people in Ukraine aged 18 to 35, develop responsible leadership and increase the level of civic engagement of young people.
The programme was initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the All-Ukrainian Youth Centre and is implemented by the Ukrainian Student League and the Kyiv School of Public Administration named after Serhiy Nyzhnyy with the financial support of MHP Gromadi, GIZ in Ukraine and NDI in Ukraine.
