Kyiv presented Resilience Plan at a Coordination Center meeting

Kyiv presented its Resilience Plan at a meeting of the Coordination Center. It is the last region whose winter preparedness plan is to be approved by the National Security and Defense Council. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

The document aims to protect 57 critical infrastructure facilities and install over 200 MW of additional generating capacity to power heating and water supply, wastewater treatment, and other facilities by the end of the year.

“The development of distributed heat supply must become a key priority of Kyiv’s Resilience Plan. This part of the plan requires further revision. The plan’s developers have been instructed to finalize this by early April 2026,” noted the Head of Government.

The total budget for Kyiv’s Resilience Plan is UAH 61.6 billion. Of this amount, the city’s funds amount to UAH 10.6 billion. The need for additional funding is UAH 51 billion.

“The Government is providing the necessary assistance to the capital in preparing the Plan and will support its implementation after approval,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
