A joint press center - a joint project of Ukrinform and "Ukraine" Media Center, has been launched in Kyiv

The platform was created to unite state resources and successful public initiatives for Ukraine's victory on the information front.

"This is a great initiative - combining the resources of the state and civil society. Undoubtedly, at the beginning of the war it was necessary to respond quickly and each body had to cover its area of work. Today, we understand that the war continues and we need to join forces to enable all journalists to obtain information from primary sources. Because now the war continues not only physically, but also in the information space. Freedom of speech is critical. The one whose side the truth is on will win," said Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko

The press center will perform the following important functions:

•    conducting public and non-public events for media workers;

•    assistance to foreign media in covering the war;

•    assistance to Ukraine in forming a victorious information policy.
