Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine for European Integration Yaroslav Demchenkov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Ukraine Pier Francesco Zazo and President of the General Confederation of Italian Industry Confindustria Carlo Bonomi.
The parties discussed ways for future cooperation and the possibility of involving Italian industrial companies in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Thus, Italian companies are interested in cooperation in the field of renewable energy - solar, wind and bioenergy, in the introduction of technologies that save energy.
In addition, Italian business is ready to cooperate with Ukrainian energy companies in order to support the successful preparation of Ukraine's energy system for the heating season, the rehabilitation of energy infrastructure affected by hostilities.
"We are grateful that Italy has supported Ukraine since the first days of the war, both through sanctions against russia and through the delivery of humanitarian aid. I am convinced that we will have a fruitful cooperation with Italian industrial companies, as Ukraine has significant potential for post-war recovery in the energy sector, in particular, in the introduction of innovation, energy-efficient technologies and more. We are now discussing our potential projects," Yaroslav Demchenkov said.

Confindustria is the most influential association of industrialists and entrepreneurs in Italy. It unites more than 150,000 enterprises in all spheres of economic activity of the state, which employ more than 5,400,000 people and form more than 34% of its GDP.
Since the first days of russia's military aggression against Ukraine, the leadership of the Confindustria, in close coordination with the Embassy, has been implementing a number of humanitarian and economic initiatives involving the entire network of Confederation’s member companies. During February-June 2022, as a result of this work, more than 7,000 tons of humanitarian goods were sent to Ukraine.
