Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, met with representatives of the World Bank. The parties discussed the possibility of cooperation in implementing the measures set out in the Strategy of State Policy on Internal Displacement until 2025, approved by the Government.
Iryna Vereshchuk spoke about the work of the Coordination Headquarters for IDPs and the Civilian Support Coordination Centres at the regional military administrations, which were established to implement the Strategy.
The Deputy Prime Minister also briefed the meeting on the implementation of the initiative to establish resilience centres in communities.
“Together with the Office of First Lady Olena Zelenska, we have launched and are implementing a project of resilience centres. In particular, it is planned to establish resilience centres in each community as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the provision of services to people affected by armed aggression. We want these centres to include all services at the community level. Both social and administrative, as well as psychological,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
For his part, Sameh Wahba, World Bank Regional Director for Sustainable Development, Europe and Central Asia, presented the main areas of World Bank activity in Ukraine.
