Iryna Vereshchuk took part in event dedicated to cooperation between Government and charitable organisations

Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, took part in an event dedicated to cooperation between the Government and charitable organisations. It was held under the auspices of Caritas, a humanitarian non-governmental organisation that provides assistance to all those in need.

Iryna Vereshchuk joined the panel discussion titled "Expanding and Synergising the Activities of the Government, Church, the UN, Donors and Caritas: Responding to Needs in Ukraine".

The discussion was also attended by the Primate and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Caritas Internationalis Secretary General Alistair Dutton, Deputy Head of the UN OCHA Office in Ukraine James Weatherill, Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Larisa Galadza and others.

During the discussion, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the promptness of Caritas Ukraine in making decisions. According to her, this has become an important marker of support for Ukrainian society.

Among many issues, special attention was paid to the psychological recovery of Ukrainians affected by the war.

Iryna Vereshchuk emphasised this aspect of assistance, as psychological support will help people recover and socialise faster.

She sincerely thanked Caritas Ukraine for its comprehensive assistance and stressed that she greatly appreciated such cooperation.

"We must maintain this interaction to restore a decent life for every member of society affected by the war," the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
