The standards of assistance provided by international organisations need to be unified. This was emphasised by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk on a TV channel.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, international organisations have provided and continue to provide significant assistance to Ukraine. In particular, they provide direct financial support to vulnerable groups of citizens, which contributes to the resilience of the civilian population during the war.
At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that different international organisations often had different standards and algorithms. It would therefore be good if international humanitarian operators could unify their approaches.
First of all, the criteria that determine what donors spend money on, what kind of aid they provide and what criteria they use.
“Unifying standards, algorithms and criteria is necessary in order to get a better return, a better social impact from international aid,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
