  • Iryna Vereshchuk inspects reconstruction of houses in Kyiv region as part of the project to improve housing conditions of IDPs

    Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, together with the Ministry’s team, made a working visit to Kyiv region. The purpose of the trip was to inspect the progress of restoration works at facilities under the project to improve housing conditions for internally displaced persons (IDPs).

    The project is being implemented with the financial support of the German Government with the assistance of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine. The financial partner is the German state bank KfW. The project manager is the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

    Iryna Vereshchuk, together with representatives of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, local authorities, KfW and IOM, inspected the facilities. They also talked to local residents and representatives of contractors. The meetings were focused on the issues of compliance with construction schedules and quality assurance.

    “Our task is to organise the fastest and highest quality reconstruction of the damaged buildings so that people can return to their homes,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
