Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, chaired an interagency meeting on the implementation of international technical assistance projects of the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund (USIF), which are carried out within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories and the Government of Germany.

The projects are implemented with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW).

The meeting discussed the progress of implementation of a number of USIF projects, as well as projects “EU4Skills: Modernisation of Vocational Education and Training Infrastructure in Ukraine” and “Vocational Education and Training in Eastern Partnership”.

The participants of the meeting focused on the implementation of projects in Vinnytsia, Lviv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In particular, they discussed the issues of repairing outpatient clinics, modernising vocational schools and arranging temporary accommodation for internally displaced persons.

Thus, within the framework of USIF VIII Project in Dnipropetrovsk region, in July, the Primary Health Care Centre in Slobozhanske village was opened.

Construction works on the laboratory department of the City Hospital No. 1 in Kryvyi Rih are also nearing completion.

“Our task is to coordinate the efforts of all responsible agencies, local authorities and related organisations to ensure the further successful implementation of these programmes,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasised.
