The facts of damaged and destroyed property in Kherson region will be recorded by commissions established in each hromada. This was stated by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, during a live broadcast on Suspilne TV.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, such a resolution was adopted during the last Government meeting. It concerns the communities affected by the emergency situation, caused by the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP dam.
The commissions are to be set up immediately and will be overseen by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
“The Government’s resolution requires that local governments establish such commissions as soon as possible. They should operate in every settlement and every territorial community affected by the flooding. Their task is to record the facts of damage and destruction of property. The speed with which reports are prepared, data entered into the register and compensation actually paid will depend on their work,” the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
