Iryna Vereshchuk: We demonstrate to the whole world how to unite and work


During a working visit to Zhytomyr region, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk met with representatives of international and Ukrainian humanitarian organizations. She thanked for the assistance they provide to internally displaced persons, including women with children, people with disabilities and people with limited mobility. She also heard proposals for improving their work.

“I am very grateful for the assistance of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, Caritas Ukraine Charitable Foundation, UNHCR, UNICEF and many other international and local volunteer and charitable organizations. You do incredible, very important things. And you set an example for others. Now, with your help, we are becoming humanitarian response operators of the highest caliber. Together we are forging our common victory,” the official said.

The Deputy Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to charitable foundations Open Heart, Tvoya Opora, House of Bread and others for their assistance with food, medical equipment, child care, etc. She also noted that the help that comes from them is much needed.

“It is extremely important. Now we are all gaining the world-class experience that will definitely be useful to us. Subsequently, we will be able to demonstrate to the whole world how volunteer organizations should unite and work, how to share kindness and sincerity,” Iryna Vereshchuk concluded.
