As of February 1, 2023, Ukraine has sufficient energy resources to complete the heating season. This was announced by Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.
“Today, more than 11 billion cubic meters of gas are stored in Ukrainian gas storage facilities, and about 1.2 million tonnes of coal are in stock. These are sufficient volumes to get through and complete this very difficult heating season for our country,” he said.
German Galushchenko emphasized that Ukrainian power engineers were holding their energy front despite all the challenges.
“We will do our best to ensure that Ukrainians’ homes are warm in these extremely difficult times,” the Minister said.
