Prime Minister in Chernihiv region: Consequences of emergency situation will be liquidated. The top priority is human life

The consequences of the emergency situation that occurred today  at the ammunition depot of the military unit A-1479 in Chernihiv region will be liquidated, and everything needed for people's safety will be done. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during his communication with media people.

The Prime Minister visited the village of Parafiivka where residents of  the surrounding villages were evacuated after the explosions at the arms depots.

"There are no victims, this is the most important thing. Life and health are overriding priorities. We will monitor the fire suppression. We will help to restore everything in case of need. I call on everyone to calm down", Volodymyr Groysman stressed.

He chaired a meeting of the operational headquarters, which outlined the burning needs of people and approved the decisions necessary for their provision. The Prime Minister thanked the rescuers and local authorities for the emergency evacuation and accommodation.

The Prime Minister also recalled that  in November of last year, special training was conducted throughout the whole country and  now the obtained skills proved to be useful.

"The police control the territory. Local authorities demonstrated excellent job. Everything is properly organized. And we must follow this example", the Prime Minister stressed. "The first-priority question - people's lives".
