  • Hennadii Zubko told how to reduce fourfold energy consumption in the residential sector

On condition of holding thermo-modernization, the energy consumption of a multi-apartment building decreases fourfold on average. And as a result, residents of this building economize from 30% to 50% in payment for utility bills. This was stated during a meeting with representatives of the Reanimation Package of Reforms (RPR) by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko.

"Apart from the residential sector, there is a huge demand for the thermal modernization in the municipal sector of Ukraine. We are currently engaged in work with our European partners and the European Investment Bank on a new program that will deal specifically with the municipal sector. Simultaneously, we work with the public sector, which is the treasure trove for energy efficiency measures. The first contract with the State Water Agency of Ukraine on the replacement of pumping equipment has already been signed, which offers an opportunity to return funding to investors at the expense of saved money. And this is the huge direction in which we should work", said Hennadii Zubko.

According to him, in Ukraine, the Warm Loans program was extended. For example, Rivne and Zhytomyr and several more cities have almost fully taken advantage of this program. And this covered about 3000 condominiums. Another 140 municipal programs co-financed the program.
