Today, the Government adopted a decision on additional payments for specialists who are directly restoring critical energy, housing and utilities infrastructure and railway facilities after Russian attacks. This is a direct instruction from the President, Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi said.

According to him, power engineers, heating and gas specialists, water supply and wastewater utility staff, municipal service workers and railway workers will receive UAH 30,000 in state assistance for each month they take part in restoration work, from November until the end of the heating season.

The Head of Government stressed that the scale and intensity of the attacks are unprecedented since the start of the full-scale war. Every day, the enemy launches 300-400 drones at critical infrastructure facilities and regularly strikes with missiles, including ballistic ones.

Since August, more than 2,000 hits have been recorded. Power lines and exposed elements of the grid are being destroyed, which makes the situation much harder. They have to be repaired again and again, on a scale several times larger than in all previous years.

"It is thanks to these people that the energy system, the housing and utilities sector and the railways keep working and remain resilient. This is the least the state can do for these specialists right now," Sergii Koretskyi said.

The Prime Minister thanked everyone working across the country at this very moment: "You are restoring the networks, bringing back light, water and heat, and doing everything to thwart the enemy's plans."
