Two frontline regions to receive additional funds for road repairs
The Government has supported the initiative of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development and the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development regarding the redistribution of funds for road repairs in Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions. These are connections used for evacuation and of significant importance for military logistics.
The total amount of the subvention for Kharkiv region is UAH 450.5 million. This concerns the remainder of funds transferred to the special fund of the state budget for the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development, which were not used in 2024.
“We must do everything to ensure stable connections in frontline regions and increase the resilience of critical infrastructure. In wartime conditions, roads are not just a convenience, but also security, logistics, evacuation and the ability to quickly deliver aid where it is most needed,” noted Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba.
It was also approved to use funds for the current repair of roads of national significance in Poltava and Sumy regions. The total funding amounts to UAH 256 million. These funds will also be allocated from the remaining balance of the special state budget fund that was not used in 2024.
