The Government has approved the list of investment projects to be funded by the State Fund of Regional Development (SFRD) in 2025. In total, UAH 1 billion from the SFRD funds provided in the current year’s State Budget will be directed towards 48 public investment projects in 16 regions.

These include 17 projects for civil protection structures in public buildings (shelters), 10 projects for healthcare facilities, 10 projects for general education schools, 6 projects for preschool education institutions, 3 water supply/sewage projects and 2 administrative building projects.

A territory-oriented approach was used in the distribution of funds. To ensure fair allocation of financing, 50% of the SFRD volume is allocated to projects in frontline regions, 30% to central regions and 20% to western regions of Ukraine. As a result of the project selection, the largest volumes of funding will go to Kharkiv, Kherson, Kyiv and Lviv regions.

“The distribution of SFRD funds is aimed at implementing our main priorities: enhancing security, strengthening social resilience and restoring critical infrastructure. Each of these 48 projects was carefully selected to ensure maximum social and economic impact in the regions. We aim for the SFRD funds to serve as a tool not only for restoration, but also for community development,” emphasises Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba.

The implementation of the 48 public investment projects included in the Single Project Pipeline will contribute to the rapid restoration of critical social infrastructure, strengthening community resilience and improving living conditions for the population. The vast majority of projects are planned for completion in 2025.

It should be recalled that priority in selection was given to projects that demonstrated a justified need for SFRD funding of up to UAH 50 million, a high degree of readiness (completed tender procedures and signed contracts) and a realistic completion timeline in the current year of 2025.

The review and approval of projects took place on an inter-agency basis, involving representatives from the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Health, as well as key sectoral associations.
