During his working visit to Washington, Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko met with U.S. Senator Chris Murphy, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

The Energy Minister thanked the Senator for his clear position in support of Ukraine in its fight against russian aggression and his willingness to continue to do so.

The parties discussed the peculiarities of preparing for the heating season in the context of war, plans for the reconstruction of Ukraine in general and the energy sector in particular on the principle of “build back better”. German Galushchenko stressed the Ukrainian side’s interest in cooperating and attracting American investment in the development of cutting-edge energy technologies that would help accelerate the green transition and achieve climate neutrality goals.

“We have a wide field for cooperation in the energy sector with our American partners. I am confident that our joint efforts will soon yield the desired results,” said the Minister.
