
Meeting between German Galushchenko and Senator Kevin Cramer: sanctions, support for energy sector and strengthening energy security in Europe
During his working visit to Washington, Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko met with U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer, a member of the Senate Committees on Environment and Public Works and Armed Services.
Topics discussed included Ukraine’s plans to rebuild its energy sector, the role of international partners in this process, and the great opportunities for American business and advanced technologies in Ukraine. Especially in the areas of nuclear and renewable energy.
“We thank the United States for its support of Ukraine’s energy sector, which is critical to maintaining the sustainability of the energy system and providing heat and electricity to Ukrainians,” said German Galushchenko.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to coordinating cooperation and pushing russia out of the global energy markets, as well as strengthening sanctions against the aggressor country. Particularly in the nuclear industry.
Senator Kramer expressed the view that support for Ukraine’s energy sector was a driving force for the economy and strengthened the national security of Ukraine and the entire region.
Therefore, the United States will continue to support and strengthen Ukraine’s capacity to generate and transmit electricity.
